My Favorite Cheap Holiday Destination

I’ve never been much of a big spender in any aspect of my life and it goes the same for when I go on holidays.  In fact, you could almost say that cheap holidays are the only type of vacation I take.  Sometimes I am criticized about the way I pick the place I go on holidays, but it is just the way I am.

Over the last couple of years, our holiday destination of choice has been Icmeler Turkey.  Part of the reason for this is due to the fact that every year it seems very easy to get cheap flights to Turkey.  Not to mention that Icmeler is one of the nicest places that I’ve ever gone and it seems that most people don’t even know about it.

So, if you are planning a holiday and need a place to go, consider giving Turkey a try.  With its nice beaches, wonderful people and quiet relaxed atmosphere, it is definitely the place to go.

A Chance Advertisement

We had decided that we were going to take the kids to Disney World and while I was browsing on the Internet one night, I cam across an advertisement about planning a vacation. There was a button that said to click for more info, so I decided it would not hurt to look into it.

I found out that Disney Park tickets were not nearly as expensive as I had thought they would be and I told my husband to come and take a look at the site to find out if everything was legitimate or not. He looked it over and thought it all sounded good.

He ordered Disney World Hopper tickets for the entire family and we picked a date that was going to work for both us and the kids. We had not planned on taking the vacation that quickly, but sometimes an opportunity falls in your lap and you cannot afford to pass it up.

Finding a Deal for a Cheaper Trip

When my husband and I were taking our family to Disneyland over the Christmas holidays, we decided that we wanted to spend a couple of nights in Las Vegas. We were taking my mother so that we would have someone to watch our kids in the evenings and we started looking online for some Mirage promotion codes.

A friend had actually suggested this to us, as she had found Las Vegas promotion codes online and had received very decent discounts with them. We wanted to get two rooms and I knew that the discounts would certainly help in reducing the expense of the trip.

We found a great Las Vegas hotel promotion and went ahead and booked the rooms for the dates that we were going to be there. The hotel was fabulous and we found that there was so much to do right at the hotel that we didn’t even have to venture outside of it much at all.

Searching for Courage

When I was first thinking about starting my own business, I went online to see if I could find some business forms that would tell me exactly what I needed to do to get it going. I basically wanted a step by step guide so that I could do everything in perfect procession.

I found some really good resources when I was looking for company registers documents. I found out exactly what I needed to do and what it was going to cost me to register the business and I knew that this was the first step I needed to take before I did anything else.

I also found a lot of things that would be useful down the line, such as employment documents. With any luck, I would need several employees by the end of the year. I have everything I need to go ahead and now I just need the courage to do it. I can’t seem to find that online anywhere though.

Never Again

A few months ago, I had my identity stolen. We are not quite sure how, but it was suggested that it might have had something to do with cell phone interception when I was talking to my credit card company. I had never even considered something like this happening.

You can be assured that I asked about phone encryption when I was buying a new cell phone last week. I wanted to know what was available and why this was not made clear to me when I had purchased my previous one.

I now have a secure gsm and I will not let this happen again. I have always been diligent at shredding my mail before I toss it and I cover my pin number when I am using my ATM card. It pays to be informed about all of the ways identity theft can happen, because I never in a million years thought that it could happen to me.

Getting a Group Together to Win the Busby SEO Challenge

One of my favorite things about business is collaboration.  Unlike being an employee where you are rewarded for your individual effort, in business, you can work with others to increase your profits.  This way, your work is just a smaller part of a big picture, and honestly the opportunity to profit is pretty much infinite.

So today, I assembled a team so that we can work together to Win the Busby SEO Challenge.  If we can get first place, we will win $5000, and since there is five of us, we stand to walk away with a good chunk of change.

But it isn’t going to be easy as there are over 250 people already competing and I bet that some of them are experts.  If there was no challenge, it wouldn’t be worth doing anyway, and I think that by working together and pooling our resources, we stand a good chance of succeeding.

Worth the Risks

I have worn glasses since I was a young child. Unfortunately, I inherited my mother’s vision, which is far less than perfect. I have always hated glasses and have been wearing contact lenses ever since I was old enough to get them. I thought that it was time that I seriously considered having laser eye surgery.

I had a friend who had the procedure done a few years ago and I decided that I would go and talk to her about it before I made an appointment to see the surgeon. I mostly wanted to know what the laser eye surgery risks were and how common they are. She was very informative and told me that it was one of the best decisions she had ever made.

I booked in to see the surgeon, knowing that a lot depended on the laser eye surgery cost. It was a fair amount, but if you factor in the price of spending six hundred dollars on glasses every two years, it made sense to have the surgery. I am booked in now and I can’t wait.

My Summer Camp Days

I used to go to summer camp when I was a kid and I absolutely loved it. It surprises me now, as the camp did not even have showers on site and you basically had to clean yourself in the lake when you went swimming.

My son is old enough to go to camp this year and I thought it would be great if he could go to the same camp that I grew up attending. I was very nostalgic when I took him there and I was amazed at all of the changes that had been made since my own camping days. For one thing, they now have electric showers and plumbed in bathrooms.

I had to check it out for myself and I found the shower cubicles to be very modest, still giving the camp the rustic feeling that it should have. My son had a great time and is looking forward to going back next year. I hope he creates as many wonderful memories there as I did as a child.

Quick Birthday Present Shopping

With my brothers birthday party in just a few days, I will have to act quick to get him something.  Sure, you could say that I could give him the same present that he bought me - nothing, but that wouldn’t be the right thing to do - I don’t want to stoop to his level.

So, I have been madly looking online for the perfect present for him that won’t break my wallet.  After a bit of hunting, I have narrowed it down to three things: a Zune Car Charger, a Zune Dock Cable or a Zune Travel Charger.  They all fit in my budget and I think he doesn’t have any of them.

Just wait… maybe I should call his wife and ask.

Okay, after the phone call, it looks like I will be getting him the car charger - he has pretty much everything else.

Hopefully, it will make it here before his birthday - if not, I guess he will just have to wait.

Dare to Compare Auto Insurance Rates

Many years ago, I can remember that you only ever bought your car insurance from one place for your whole life.  You became their customer and you thought that they would give you the best rate possible.

Well, not anymore.

If you are smart, you shop around for your auto insurance in the same manner that you would for clothes, food, and vehicles.  The sad thing of the matter is that you are not necessarily getting the best deal at your current insurer, and you should take the time to find out if you are or not.

What I would suggest is that you take your city and combine it with auto insurance, such as if you live in Toronto, search for "auto insurance Toronto".  That way, you will get the companies that offer insurance in your area.

From that point, you can get quotes and compare the offers from the insurance companies and pick the best one for you.
