I have decided that with my success with Squidoo up to this point that I should try some other content sharing sites – there are more, right?

Well, after a bit of digging, I found another site that was along the same lines as Squidoo, but in some respects, offered more opportunities to make some money.

The site is called HubPages.

It works the same as Squidoo, though I find their hubs (their pages) a little less cluttered and easier to navigate.

So, I started by creating a hub about Free Spyware Removal Software and a Dragon Naturally Speaking Review.  The response and earnings up to this point are promising, but we will have to see how things go – but I think that they will go well.

I was happy to say that I have come into a little bit more money to promote my sites.  Sure, it isn’t much, but slightly more than last time – ten big dollars.  Sure, it isn’t much, but it means that I have some potential to get better rankings for my sites.

So, I have submitted my site to One Web Directory, Directory of Sites and Directory Dave.  Based on the success I had with the last paid directory submission, I think that this should go well too – we’ll just have to wait and see…

It hasn’t been very long for me to have a budget to promote my websites.  In fact, until recently, I have only used free link directories in the past, and my biggest complaint is that I have to wait until my sites are approved – a process that can take months.

So, I have been looking for ways to promote my site on the little budget that I do have – a big five bucks.  But, luckily for me, I was able to find two web directories that fit in my budget and included my site in just one day.

I submitted my site to the Best Web Directory and Web Directory One, with quick site approval.  Just what I wanted.  I can’t wait to see how much (if any) traffic is sent my way.

Since I introduced a friend of mine to Squidoo, I have taken upon myself to create some lenses of my own.  The best part about it, is I can create lenses about fun things, that I would normally not talk about on my own sites.

So, I have created a lens about free proxy servers, stress relief gifts, and even one about one of my favorite bands: Nickelback.

Not only have these lenses been fun to create, but I am in the process of brainstorming other ideas of what to make – I am having too much fun!

I have introduced one of my good friends to Squidoo.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out what Squidoo is, to sum it up, it is a free way for you to make a web page about topics that you are interested in.

For example, if you like Gossip Girl, you could make a lens (web page) about it and make some money.

They claim that you can make a lens in just ten minutes, though if you are looking to create something a little nicer, it might take you a little longer than that.
