Our Unique Wedding

When my wife and I decided to get married we wanted to do something different. You see, all of our siblings were already married and quite frankly their weddings are a little too general for my tastes. If you ask me, they didn’t take the time to make the ceremony standout from all the other weddings that I’ve ever seen - maybe they just didn’t care enough about each other.

My wife and I decided that we wanted something special for our wedding to show everyone how much we meant to each other. This meant that we did our own wedding planning and decor and tried to stay away from such things as a store-bought aisle runner and cake.

After bit of searching online, we were able to find a company that created custom aisle runners for weddings. It took us some time to figure out exactly what we wanted written on our custom aisle runner, but in the end we came up with something that was just us.

After making it to the ceremony and into our married life, I’m very happy that we decided to have a unique wedding instead of some cookie-cutter one like everyone else.

Are Personal Wedding Vows for You?

When you get married, there are many things to plan for before you even get to the wedding ceremony. Usually the bride deals with things like invitations and flowers, but both bride and groom need to be involved when coming up with their wedding vows.

Many opt for the traditional style of the official asking if each partner does take the other, but many couples are getting more creative with their vows and including things like personal references to their relationship or family values. If the couple isn’t comfortable writing their own vows but does want to do something more personal, a wedding planner or coordinator can often help with that.

Another important aspect is the music. Does the bride want to hear the age old ‘wedding march" or something more fun and current such as a song by a current music artist, or even something wild like tribal drumming?

Weddings really can be made very unique and personal these days if the couple chooses for that option.
