Will it help to get an 800 Number for the Shop?

My boyfriend owns a pawn shop with his dad and uncle here in town. They’ve been open for several years now and still only have a local number.

While this isn’t that big of a deal since their customer base is mostly close to the shop, they do have some customers who come from the south of town and this puts them outside the calling area of the shop.

They are considering putting in a toll free number to help with this problem. Because they also are a certified gun dealership and broker agency for the state, they get inquiries from all around the state and through out the country. More and more often new people are calling to obtain information on getting guns and an 800 number would be great to advertise with along with the fact that new potential customers won’t have to make a long distance call.
