Changing My Major
Before I attended law school, I decided that I was going to study criminal law. This all changed shortly before entering the school. After thirty years of marriage, my father decided that he did not love my mother anymore and served her with divorce papers.
I was so angry with him for putting her through everything that he did and I stood firmly by her side through the whole thing. He had a great lawyer, Eric K. Johnson, and he got way more than he deserved, leaving mom with very little left to survive on. I hated him and I decided that I was not going to sit back and watch other helpless people go through this.
I changed my major and decided that I was now going to become a Utah divorce attorney. I actually love what I am doing, as I know I am helping other women keep a piece of their dignity when everything they ever believed to be true fails them.
